Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 19, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the StarCoach AI platform (the “Service”) by educators, schools, and school districts.

These Terms are designed to support a simple, low-friction evaluation of the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose

StarCoach AI provides an AI-powered instructional platform to support lesson planning, assessment, and differentiated instruction.

The Service is intended for:

  • Educational use by authorized educators and students
  • Supporting instructional planning and improvement

StarCoach AI may modify or discontinue the Service at any time.

2. Relationship to Data Privacy Agreement (DPA)

If an Institution has entered into a Data Privacy Agreement (“DPA”) with StarCoach AI, the DPA governs the handling of Student Data.

Institutions are responsible for determining appropriate use of the Service in accordance with their policies and applicable law.

StarCoach AI acts as a service provider under the direction and control of the Institution with respect to Student Data.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for legitimate educational purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

Student Use

Certain features may allow students to interact directly with the Service. Student use should occur under the supervision of an educator or Institution.

Institutions and educators are responsible for:

  • Appropriate supervision of student use
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies
  • Reviewing and approving instructional use of AI-generated content

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate instructional content and coaching feedback (“Outputs”) based on educator and student inputs.

Outputs are intended to support educators as a starting point and should not replace professional judgment.

Outputs may not always be accurate, complete, or free from bias. Educators are responsible for reviewing and determining the appropriateness of any Outputs before use in instruction.

StarCoach AI does not guarantee that Outputs will meet specific instructional needs or outcomes.

5. Accounts

Users must:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials

Institutions are responsible for managing access by their personnel and users.

6. Data and Privacy

Use of the Service is subject to the StarCoach AI Privacy Policy.

StarCoach AI is committed to protecting student data:

  • We do not sell Student Data
  • We do not use Student Data for advertising
  • We do not use Student Data to train general-purpose AI models

Student Data is handled in accordance with:

  • Applicable law, including FERPA and COPPA
  • The DPA, where applicable

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you provide (“Inputs”).

Outputs

You may use Outputs for educational purposes. StarCoach AI does not claim ownership of Outputs.

Our Service

The Service, including its software and technology, is owned by StarCoach AI, Inc.

8. Feedback

If you provide feedback, you agree that StarCoach AI may use it to improve the Service without restriction or obligation.

9. Availability and Changes


The Service may:

  • Change at any time
  • Experience interruptions
  • Be modified or discontinued

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARCOACH AI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

  • Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

StarCoach AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

StarCoach AI’s total liability arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed $100 USD.

These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect until access to the Service is terminated.

Either party may terminate access to the Service at any time.

Upon termination:

  • Access to the Service will end
  • Student Data will be handled in accordance with the DPA

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
